Solace Shilohs

Our Shilohs are integrated in every aspect of our life. They sleep with us (or I should say we sleep with them), eat with us, and ride in the car with us practically everywhere we go. My son, Kai is 6 years old and he was raised with and absolutely loves the Shilohs. When Kai was brought home from the hospital, they would all circle around him when he was on the floor. As he got older and would topple over, they would gently lick his face. Kody would lay behind his back to support Kai and keep him from toppling.

Now Kai helps with the daily dog chores as well as teaching them how to respect him, even though he is less than half their size (Kai - 47 pounds, dogs - 95 pounds and up). He likes to feed them each evening and has them sit and wait until he places the dish in front of them. My name is Laura Kathryn and I have been working with dogs for over 30 years.

Last year, we constructed a 1,000 square foot training room for the Shilohs. We finished constructing 3,700 square feet of indoor and outdoor runs, whelping rooms with radiant floor heat.

We welcome visitors to come by and visit our family of Shilohs. They love visitors and will welcome you with warm, sloppy kisses.

My Shilohs are registered with The International Shiloh Shepherd Registry (ISSR), which upholds the strict breeding standards, set forth by the Breed Founder - Tina Barber; Shilohs with good health, strong hips, stable and predicable temperaments; dogs that make wonderful family companions. As ISSR breeders, we must continually study and strive to better the development of our breed and help teach others about these wonderful dogs. I am available for mentorship and also offer apprenticeships to people wishing to become breeders of this magnificent and noble breed. Only ISSR Shilohs are the real and original Shiloh Shepherds.

I always sleep in the same room as my pregnant bitches when puppies are on the ground. I watch and care for my litters very closely and carefully. My puppies get a lot of attention and handling from day one to the eight weeks, when the litter evaluations are conducted. My puppies tend to be very affectionate and bond easily with their new families. We offer an apprenticeship program here at Solace.

Note: Occasionally, we have younger adults or adults for adoption, sometimes they come with a nominal adoption fee and/or shipping fee, and sometimes they come with the price you would pay for a pup within that category (pet quality, breed quality, etc.). It will all depend upon the age and training the younger adult or adult has had. If you want to be placed on a list for an young adult or adult, please contact me to let me know what you are looking for in an adult Shiloh.

Deposits or prepayment are taken at any point in time, for upcoming litters. Prepayment secures your place on a list. Please visit my Litters and Prices page to learn more. Also feel free to contact me with regards to my breeding program and my Shilohs. If you would like to know if you would make a good owner for a Shiloh or if a Shiloh would be right for you and your family, please call me and let’s talk. If you think you are ready for a Shiloh, you can download and fill out a Puppy Pre-Adoption application with the specifications for your Shiloh and send it in with a deposit or prepayment. If you wish, you can use PayPal, but you will need to add three percent to the amount you are paying. I also accept personal checks and money orders or wire transfers. Payment is non-refundable should you change your mind, but you can take up to three years to apply it to an upcoming litter. All puppies come micro chipped, with their first set of shots and wormings. Shipping fees are $250 (fee covers airline approved shipping crate, ISO micro chip, and first round of vaccinations, deworming, Veterinary health certificate, and transportation to airport) plus actual cost of airfare. Pick-up fees are $100 (fee covers ISO micro chip, first set of vaccinations, and deworming).
